Terms of Service for LangSim
These Terms govern your use of LangSim, provided by Kurian Ventures UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Fanningerstr. 53, 10365 Berlin, Germany ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using LangSim, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you are below the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use. Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. The service
LangSim provides language-learning, conversation, translation, speech, and pronunciation features. We may improve, add, remove, or temporarily suspend features. Generated lessons, translations, transcriptions, pronunciations, and AI responses may contain errors and should be treated as learning assistance, not professional advice.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of text, audio, images, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, and adapt that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve LangSim and provide the features you request. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse LangSim, violate law or another person's rights, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, upload malware, scrape or reverse engineer the service except where law permits, or use the service to create or distribute harmful, deceptive, or illegal content.
5. Intellectual property
LangSim, its software, design, branding, and service content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use LangSim for its intended purpose.
6. Third-party services
LangSim relies on third-party platforms and AI, speech, analytics, authentication, hosting, and notification providers. Their availability and outputs are outside our complete control, and your use of certain integrations may also be subject to their terms.

8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using LangSim and delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
9. Disclaimers and liability
LangSim is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free AI, speech, translation, or learning results. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Courts have jurisdiction as provided by applicable consumer and procedural law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational, or service changes. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
